只是“发信息”应用如此频繁
英语怎么说你知道吗?
“发信息”不是 send message
send a message在英语中有这么个意思
to make someone understand that a particular thing is right or true, or to make someone understand what your attitude is
让某人明白某件事是对的或真实的，或者让某人明白你的态度;向…发出明确信息
例：
By taking this action, we are sending a message that bullying will not be tolerated.
通过采取这一行动，我们发出了一个明确的信息：欺凌行为不会被容忍。
The magazine sends the wrong message about healthy weight to teenagers.
这份杂志在青少年的健康体重问题上发出了一个错误的信息。
而我们现在常说的“发信息”
老外会说 text sb.
就是打字给某人留言
例：
I'll text you as soon as I get home.
我一到家就给你发信息。
Text me when you arrive.
到了就给我发信息。
不管微信、短信
这些消息都可以用text
想强调用“微信”就说
text me on WeChat
“送礼物”≠send a present
首先send的用法是没错的
send sb sth 或 send sth to sb
送某人某物
但是这个“送”和我们中文的“送”是有区别的
来看一个例子
▼
他送了我一份礼物。
He sent me a present.✘
He gave me a present.✔
正确的表达应该是：give sb a present
因为send 所指的送其实是：
寄送，传送
除非礼物是邮寄或由专人送去的
否则就不能用这个词
而give本身就有“赠送”的意思
