《鱿鱼游戏》是网飞(Netflix)有史以来最受欢迎的剧集之一，随着该剧的走红，它已经被翻译成多种语言。然而一些精通英语和韩语的观众却对该剧的英文翻译感到失望，认为翻译没有准确表达出真实意思。

 

 

“并不是摆姿态啊但是我是一个能说流利韩语的人，我看了英文字幕的《鱿鱼游戏》。对于不懂韩语而去看了英文字幕的人，我们可能看的都不是同一部剧。翻译太差了。韩语的对话写得非常好，但是英语却一点都没有保留下来。”

According to Mayer, the reason this happens is that translators are so often overworked and underpaid, and it leads to a rough translation of the material instead of a more accurate and nuanced one.

据梅尔说，出现这种情况的原因是，翻译人员经常超负荷工作，工资过低，这导致对材料的翻译很粗糙，没有做到更准确、更细致。

Mayer even made a TikTok to give us some example scenes with poor translation, saying that she'd happily make more videos like this in future.

In one of the scenes, the character, Han Mi-nyeo (Kim Joo-ryeong), tells a guard: "Go Away." But Mayer explains that the actual line says, "What are you looking at," and the mistranslated line misses a lot of Mi-nyeo's character.

其中一个场景，剧中角色韩美女(金俊良饰)告诉一名警卫：“走开。”但梅尔解释说，原台词是“你在看什么”，错误翻译的台词不能充分表现韩美女的性格。

 

 

她还指出，韩美女试图说服其他玩家让她加入他们团队的片段，字幕上说：

I'm not a genius, but I still got it worked out.

“我不是天才，但我还是成功了。

这句台词实际上应该翻译成：

I am very smart, I just never got a chance to study

我很聪明，我只是从来没有机会学习

“That's a huge trope in Korean media, the poor person that's smart and clever and just isn't wealthy. That's a huge part of her character… it seems so small but it's the entire character's purpose of being in the show.”

这是在影视中有很大映射作用的台词，“聪明的穷人并不富裕没有办法接受教育。”这是她角色个性的一个重要部分，看起来虽然不起眼，但这是整个角色在剧中的目的。
