play hooky=逃课、旷课

“逃课”可不能直译为escape from the class，
可以用play hooky来表示。
 
They played hooky and went for a picnic last Friday.
他们上周五逃课出去野餐了。
 
对话：
A:We played hooky yesterday.
昨天我们逃课了。
B:You should have not done that.
你们不该那样做的。
 
“逃课”还有其他几种说法：
play truant /truːənt/,
skip a class,
skip school，
cut a class
以及cut school
 
If you cut one more class you will fail the course.
