mean to  打算做某事

　　I mean to say that we were shocked by the news. 我想说，我们看到那篇报道之后，都吓了一大跳。

　　I meant to leave that stuff at your apartment. 我本来想把那些东西留在你家里的。

　　I meant to tell you, I don't love you anymore. 我本来想告诉你，我不再爱你了。

　　You mean to tell me you can't find a room? 你是想告诉我，你找不到房间了？

　　You didn't pay back the money you owe me.  你欠我的钱还没还呢。

　　I meant to give it to you this morning.  我本来想今天早上给你的。
