In China, this is used as a greeting.

It’s not really a question.

气 候 Climate

The climate is different in China.

青岛的夏天比起英国更潮湿;冬天更干燥。

In the summer, Qingdao is very humid compared with my hometown.

In the winter, it’s very dry.

上海和香港也非常闷热和潮湿。

Shanghai and Hong Kong are very hot and humid cities.

在青岛，冬天会感觉到有静电。(在英国，夏天会感觉有静电。)

In the winter, I sometimes experience static shock.

有人说在英国，一天可以感受一年四季的变化。

Some people say that when living in the UK it’s possible to experience 4 seasons in a single day.

过马路Crossing the road

对于Peter老师来说，刚来中国的时候，过马路是遇到的最大的困难。

Crossing the road was very difficult for me at the beginning.

In the UK we are taught to look right, left, right.

饮食文化Food Culture

在中国，饮食文化是一种社交文化。

The food culture is different.

In China, eating out is a social experience.

如果你邀请别人出去吃饭，你买单。

If you invite someone out for dinner, you should pay.

家 庭Family

中国的家庭成员之间更加紧密，彼此会牺牲更多。

Chinese families are tighter and closer, they sacrifice more.

在西方国家，孩子们会较早地离开父母独立生活，父母住在养老院(但并不是唯一或第一的选择)。In western countries, children fly the nest earlier and the parents live in care homes.
