He ran with the whip, but he did not swim to Jock.

He got the whip, when Jock was in for a swim.

Jock swam to the bank.

He ran to Scot to get the whip.

Stop, Scot! Stop, Scot!

But no! Scot did not stop.

No! Scot did not stop, but Jock got the whip.
