故事原文

A person named Peter wanted to keep a pet. One day after supper, he went to a pet shop to buy a pet.There were three parrots in the shop, a pink parrot, a purple parrot and a blue parrot. The blue parrot was cheap, but the pink parrot was cheaper, and the purple parrot expensive. The shop owner was Paul. Peter asked Paul, “Why is the blue parrot at this price?” Paul explained, “Because he can talk.” Peter asked again, “Why is the pink parrot at this price?” Paul explained, “Because she can sing and dance.” Peter then asked, “Why is the purple parrot so expensive?” Paul said, “I don't know! He can do nothing! But the other parrots call him ‘President.’”
