一、说教材
(一)教材的作用和地位
“牛津英语”教材把语言结构、语言功能和主题内容有机地结合起来，因此语言信息输入量大，选材广泛，主体有序，内容集中，学习内容非常贴近学生生活实际和思想实际。牛津英语8A教材以Chapter为学习单元，与高中教材体系基本接轨，分为Reading、Listening、Language、Speaking、Using English、Writing and More practice,训练更全面，更有针对性，更加侧重读与写。本课是Chapter 3 Dealing with trouble 的第一课时，学生对一篇日记的学习后，初步了解日记的格式与书信的格式不同点，并且对课文中的robbery有所了解后，对学生的自我保护意识有所帮助;并且复习与课文有关的上海交通工具，增大信息量，使学生学会主动学习。
(二)教学目标：
1、知识目标：1、学习单词dial,argue(argument), purse,deal with,crowd,railing, detail, handcuff 等。
2、课文的阅读和理解。
2、能力目标：1、培养学生的阅读理解能力。
2、提高学生自然运用英语交流的能力。
3、情感目标：通过讨论提高学生自我保护意识，渗透情感教育。
(三)重点：1、通过阅读猜出生词的意思。
2、描述一个难忘或有趣的经历。
难点：用英语阐述自己的观点及想法。
关键：对课文的理解和把握。
二、说教法
(一)教学设计的原则
以学生发展为本，开展合作学习。
教学中尽可能发挥学生的主动性和合作精神，营造良好的学习氛围，在交流中提高学生的语言表达能力。
追求和谐的课堂活动
在民主、平等的氛围中，在科学和和谐的教学活动中从分发挥学生的主体性，尽大限度处理好教师、学生、教材等关系，达到优化教学。努力在课堂教学中，有意识的让学生去感知、理解，不断地感悟。(来源淘课件网taoKejian.com)
(二)教学手段
1、直观教学：运用多媒体辅助教学，利用一些色彩鲜艳的图片，吸引学生的注意力，加深学生的印象，提高学生的学习兴趣。
2、趣味教学：把课文内容形象化，把课堂知识由学生的间接需要变成直接需要，引发学生学习的积极性。

一、教材分析：
1、教材的地位及作用：
牛津初中英语7B第四单元Grammar，本单元围绕做一般过去时开展多种教学活动。本节课是本单元的重点，主要了解一般过去时的构成和用法。通过对一般过去时的构成和用法的学习，进一步加深对一般过去时的这一时态的理解和运用。同时通过这一时态在陈述句与疑问句中的操练，进一步正确使用一般过去时谈论过去事件的能力。
2、教学目标：(知识目标、能力目标)
知识目标：
(1)了解一般过去时的构成和用法
(2)根据情境正确使用一般过去时谈论过去的事件。
能力目标：提高正确使用一般过去时谈论过去事件的能力及知识自学的综合能力。
确立教学目标的依据：
根据英语教学大纲规定，通过听、说、读、写的训练，使学生获得英语基础知识和为交际初步运用英语的能力，激发学生的学习兴趣，为进一步学习打好初步的基础。此外，根据我国国情和外语教学大纲的要求，现阶段外语教学的素质教育主要包括思想素质教育、目的语素质教育、潜在外语能力的培养、非智力因素的培养等四方面。(来源淘课件网taoKejian.com)
3、重点与难点：
重点：了解一般过去时的构成和用法。
难点：根据情境正确使用一般过去时谈论过去的事件。
确立重点与难点的依据：根据教学大纲的要求，及本课在教材中所处的地位和作用。
二、教材处理：
根据以上对教材的分析，同时针对中国学生学习外语存在一定困难的实际情况。首先给学生创造自主学习的氛围，对动词过去式的变化规律自己予以归纳，再由老师予以总结。同时激发学生学习兴趣，使学生在始终处于竞赛活动中，掌握知识。最后通过做练习对学生所学知识点进行训练，从而达到巩固知识的目的。
三、教学方法：
通过五步教学法，精讲巧练，由浅入深，由易到难，先自学后指导，由已知到未知，循序渐进地深化教学内容。展开以教师为主导，以学生为主体的师生双边活动。
四、教学手段：
主要自学，指导，竞赛等方式进行教学教学，贯穿整个教学过程。增加了自主性和趣味性，加大了课堂密度，提高了教学效果。
五、教学程序：
1、导入
1). 为培养学生日常运用语言的能力，邀请同学上台介绍自己的值日报告，谈谈自己的everyday life, 如get up at six，play games after school 等等。在学生介绍的同时，老师则根据其描述，画出相应的时间轴及出示有关的教学挂图。

2).认真听完同学的值日报告后，提出与报告相关的问题。如:What day is it today?进而引出：What day was it yesterday? What was the date yesterday?
3).板书以下内容
Today is ______________________________.
Yesterday was ____________________________.
4).由此引出一般过去时的概念，以及be动词的变化形式。is 变was.
2、设疑并解答
1).针对同学值日报告中谈及的情况，要求大家用yesterday代替every day，谈一谈同学昨天的事。根据同学们刚刚接触一般过去时的基本情况，大多数同学不会解决此类问题。
2).把书翻到66页，自主学习规则动词过去时的构成规律，让基础较好的同学先予以归纳，不足部分则由老师予以补充。最后总结出动词过去式记忆口诀。
①直接, 即通常直接在动词后加ed
②双写, 即元音+辅音结尾的重读音节的动词，双写辅音加ed
③去e, 即以字母e结尾的动词去e后加ed
④变i, 即以辅音+y结尾的动词,y改i后加ed
3、看一看，赛一赛
按要求写出规则动词的过去式。
①为增加趣味性，可按小组进行竞赛，每组派一代表上场参赛，并有两次机会求助同组同学。
②全班竞赛。出20道题，每题5分，全班同学参与，评出优胜者，予以掌声鼓励

I. Introduction
This is one of the lessons of Book II . In this class, they will learn a grammar item called the present progressive (结构式: Be + V-ing ).
They can learn the grammar item by looking, listening, talking and practicing to know how to use it in reality. And many activities have been designed for students to study and practice. Trying to connect knowledge to interesting and stimulating their enthusiasm to study in class is a very important thing for teachers to consider.(来源淘课件网taoKejian.com)
II. Teaching goal and key points.
1. The language Goal is to learn about what people are doing and the present progressive (结构式: Be + V-ing ), and besides master the structures of the present progressive, how to make good use of the present progressive in real life is also important. Through many different teaching steps and methods, make students realize that the present progressive is close to their studies and lives, they can use the language they learn to meet the need and wishes by using the new knowledge easily.
2. Teaching key points are training the abilities of using the present progressive to express their feelings in real language surroundings.
III. Ways of teaching and learning
Divide the whole class into six groups to train them how to cooperate with group members. One of the students answering questions correctly will win one or two points for their own group, using this way to make them know helping others are equal to help themselves, honors of collectivity are their honors. Dialogues, games and performances are designed for students to practice, in addition to these exercises, flash and songs, balls and photos are used in class activities to build a kind of strong study atmosphere(来源淘课件网taokejian.com)

1. Show some pictures to students and introduce the present progressive (结构式: Be + V-ing) to them
2. Look and say

they are learning.
Invite a few students to do some actions in class, and then ask some questions to the other students,

1. Lead in the general question of the present progressive

Step 5 Description
1.Show a photo of Mr. Black, let them learn how to talk
about the photo.
2.Show a photo of two girls with the words to the others as an example.
3. With the help of projector, let them look at their baby photos.
Step 6 Group work
Show some sentence patterns for students to reference.
Everybody talks about one picture one by one.
