我们经常能从各类时尚报道中看到“蓝血品牌、红血品牌”这种说法，更有“六大蓝血、八大红血”之称。

这里出现的蓝血对应英文blue blood，但并不表示“蓝色的血液”，而是“尊贵，高贵”的意思。

blue blood作为短语，常用来表示“社会地位高”，而在英美语境中，也常用作名词，表示“贵族血统，贵族(descent from nobility;a person of such descent; aristocrat)”;形容词形式则是blue-blooded，这个表达源于西班牙语中的sangre azul。

那么为什么外国人会用它来表示「尊贵」呢?

这其中存在着文化渊源：

蓝血人属于上等阶级，因为很少在户外活动的人血管会透过白皙的皮肤呈现出蓝色，过去这种人通常是上等阶级。
