Days after spending the day in storm-ravaged Puerto Rico, President Trump told participates in a Hispanic Heritage Month event at the White House that he's committed to the U.S. island territory:
(President Trump) "We will be there all the time to help Puerto Rico recover, restore, rebuild. We're working together very closely with your great governor."
There are now 14,000 federal workers on the ground in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, which were both hit hard by Hurricane Maria.
According to FEMA, 54 percent of Puerto Rico's 3.4 million residents have access to drinking water and just nine percent of the island has electricity.
