缅甸:季风性山体滑坡导致51人死亡

Myanmar Fire Services Department revealed on Sunday that a monsoon landslide that hit Mon state caused the death of 51 people.

缅甸消防部门周日透露，孟邦发生季风性山体滑坡，造成51人死亡。

Speaking to Xinhua, an official from the department assured that "search and rescue operations are being carried out by using life detectors such as Thermal Imaging Camera (TIC) and Leader Hasty."

在接受新华社采访时，该部门的一名官员保证，“搜救行动正在使用热成像相机(TIC)和Leader hurry等生命探测器进行。”

On Friday, as a result of the monsoon downpour, a collapse struck the mountainside of Ma-lat mountain to affect houses, cars and people in the area.

A number of towns including Paung, Mawlamyine and Mudon were flooded due to the monsoon rainfall while several schools were shut down for a brief time in Paung town.
