The upgrade of Tongzhou stadium officially started recently. The project is expected to be completed by June 2024. Covering an area of 70,523 square meters, three venues for swimming, ice skating and basketball, a sports stadium, a public fitness center and supporting infrastructure will be constructed. After completion, it will greatly improve public fitness infrastructure in the area.

通州体育场升级改造工程已正式奠基开工，该项目预计将于2024年6月完工。项目总建筑面积为70523平方米，主要建设内容包括“三馆、一场、一中心”，即游泳馆、滑冰馆、篮球馆、体育场、全民健身中心及体育用房、地下车库等。
