Remembering the shin guards I wore when I played soccer over 60 years ago, I went to a sporting goods store. I'm a petite, elderly woman, so when a young man came to help me, I said, “Don't laugh, but I'm looking for a pair of shin guards for soccer.” “Okay,” he said with a completely straight face. “What position do you play?”
