9. The light is better here

One night a man on his way home happened to see his friend searching something under a street lamp. The man asked his friend what he was looking for and the friend said he had tripped1 and his gold watch had lost from his pocket. The man began assisting2 his friend looking for the gold watch. After a long time without any success, the man asked his friend exactly where he tripped.

In my garage, his friend said.

Why, please tell me, the man asked, "are you looking for your gold watch here if you lost it in your garage?"

The friend replied, "The light is a lot better here."

一天晚上，一个人在回家的路上看见他的朋友在街边的路灯下找东西。他问朋友在找什么，朋友说摔了一跤，金表从口袋里丢了。这个人于是也开始帮朋友找起来。找了很久还是没有结果后，他就问朋友是在什么地方摔倒的。

“在我的车库里。”朋友答道。

“那么请问，你在车库里掉的表，为什么在这里找呢？”

朋友回答：“这儿光线更好。”
