    [注解]语出莎士比亚《威尼斯商人》第2幕第2场。这是一句比较古老的谚语。莎士比亚时代的用法,和现代英语的用法不同,它不是强调结构。不能照字面译。
    中国虽有“知子莫若父”的古话,但莎翁这句英文的意思却适得其反。
