Is the Independent Enrollment of University a Good Thing?

As is humorously portrayed in the cartoon, a college teacher is welcoming a girl student who is lighting a cigarette, with a gitar in her hand. Nowadays many colleges and universities have ploughed into enrolling students independently. Both students and parents are keen on shuttling between those famous universities for taking examinations.

Most of voices are on the side of the independent enrollment of university. Because they regard it as another opportunity for high school students to enter prestigious universities. College entrance examination is no longer the only approach to the university, especially for those students with special talents. However, some people object to it with their own reasons. For one thing, they think those difficult examinations organized by universities for their independent enrollment are bound to make students bear greater burden. For another thing, it might bring about injustice if there is barely strict supervision, let alone whether the examination is authentic enough to select qualified students.

In spite of all this, I am still confident that the independent enrollment is of great benefit to our society and examinees. With the perfection of our educational system, the problem as mentioned above will be solved. (178 words)

大学自主招生是件好事吗?

就像漫画中幽默描绘的那样，一个大学老师正在欢迎一个女学生，她手里拿着一把吉他，正点着烟。如今许多学院和大学都已干劲十足地投入到自主招生工作中。学生和家长都热衷于穿梭在那些知名大学之间，参加考试。

大部分的观点都是支持大学自主招生的。因为他们认为这是高中生进入知名学府的另一个机会。大学入学考试不再是进入大学的唯一方式了，尤其是对于那些有特殊天赋的学生来说。但是，一些人反对，他们有自己的理由。一方面，他们认为大学为自主招生组织的那些很难的考试必然让学生承受更大的负担。另一方面，如果缺乏严格的监督，这有可能会产生不公正，更不用说考试在选拔出合格的学生方面是否足够可靠了。

尽管有如上这些观点，但对于自主招生能为社会和应试者带来很大的好处，我仍然很有信心。随着教育体系的不断完善，以上提到的问题将会得以解决。
