The Problem of Pollution in China
　　It is reported that ten big cities in China are being ranked among the top twenty cities with the highest pollution index in the world. This means it is high time we did something to bring the situation under control.
　　Many factors are contributing to the deteriorating situation. For example, industrial wastes pumped into the air, the lakes and rivers; an increasing number of automobiles crowding into the streets; the widespread use of plastic bags,  etc.
　　Therefore, how to solve the problem of pollution has become an urgent matter in China. From my point of view, above all, stiffer laws and regulations must be implemented to control pollution. Industries that release wastes without permission should be heavily fined. Second, cars should be equipped to minimize the exhaust they release into the air. Third, the use of plastic bags and disposable meal boxes should be banned. Finally, the media should play an important role in implanting a sense of environmental consciousness into people's mind.                (163 words)

中国污染问题
　　据报道，中国有10大城市已被列入世界污染指数最高城市的前20名。这意味着我们采取行动控制这一局势的时刻到了。
　　许多因素导致了恶化的局面。比如，工业废弃物进入大气层、湖泊和河流； 在大街上，拥堵的汽车数量急剧上升； 塑料袋的大范围使用等等。
　　因此，如何解决污染问题已成为中国迫在眉睫的问题。我认为，第一，我们应当确立更加严格的法律法规来控制污染。对未经批准的污染工业应予以重罚。第二，应对汽车进行改装，使其尾气排放量最小化。第三，应禁止塑料袋和一次性餐盒的使用。最后，媒体应当发挥其重要作用，将环境意识灌输到人们的大脑中。
