In the course of a person's growth，parents play an important role in their children's education as much as those children's friends do．However，I am for the opinion that friends are more important than parents，especially in the educational respect．Compared with parents，we spend for more time with friends．If one child admire one of his friends，he will imitate his or her words，actions，thoughts and behaviors．So a friend with positive attitude towards life and study as well as self-discipline and self-confidence will exert a profound influence on the child．Furthermore，friends are usually at the similar age．Since they are from the same generation，they always share thoughts and opinions with each other．The advice from friends to solve one's problem is more likely to be accepted than parents'．Last but not least，friends tend to have a better understanding with a child．So when he is in low spirit or lose heart，they can encourage him in a more efficient way．Thus，the child can easily regain his confidence and the passion for life and study．It forms an active cycle．

All in all，friend is one of the most important factors to dominate our future．As the saying goes，good friends are gold．Try to make true friends and make a successful person of yourself．
