Emblem: On November 30, 2004, the emblem for Expo 2010 Shanghai China was officially unveiled.

Inspired by the shape of the calligraphic creation of the Chinese character "世" (meaning the world), the emblem depicting the image of three people—you , me ,him/he holding hands together, symbolizes the big family o mankind in harmony and happiness ,and conveys the concept of the World Expo of “Understanding, Communication, Gathering and Cooperation”. It exemplifies Expo 2010’s focus on the humanistic values.

会徽：2004年11月30日，中国2010年上海世博会的会徽正式揭晓。会徽以中国汉字“世”字书法创意为性，“世”字图形意寓三人合臂相拥，状似美满幸福、相携同乐的家庭，也可抽象为“你、我、他”广义的人类对美好和谐的生活追求，表达世博会“理解、沟通、欢聚、合作”的理念和中国2010年上海世博会以人为本的积极追求。

Mascot: The mascot for Expo 2010 Shanghai China, "Haibao",officially debuted at the night on

 December 18,2007.Created from the Chinese character "人" (meaning people),the mascot embodies the character of Chinese culture and echoes with the designing concept of the emblem of Expo 2010. Using the Chinese character as the mascot of an international event is an innovation.

吉祥物：2007年12月18日晚，中国2010年上海世博会的吉祥物“海宝”（Haibao）正式诞生。以汉字的“人”作为核心创意，既反映了中国文化的特色又呼应了上海世博会会徽的设计理念。在国际大型活动吉祥物设计中率先使用文字作为吉祥物设计的创意是一次创新。
