Taking the form of Shikumen, Shanghai Pavilion features simple design but profound implication, plain appearance but modern taste, perfectly matching the city's characteristics of combination of decency and diversity, blending of history and modernism, and meeting of the East and the West. Themed as "New Horizons Forever," it demonstrates a more charming, harmonious and intelligent Shanghai through the external walls, waiting room and interior space.

展馆以石库门造型为主要元素，设计风格简约但气氛浓烈，外观朴素但格调现代，非常符合上海这座城市庄重而不失灵动、历史与现代交融、东西方融合的文化特征。展馆以“永远的新天地”为主题，通过外墙空间、等候空间和内场空间，展示一个更有魅力、更为融合、更加智慧的上海，以表达对“城市，让生活更美好”的上海理解。
