甲：你见过汤姆吗？
A: Did you ever meet Tom?

乙：没见过。不过没关系，你能为我介绍一下吗？
B: No, but I wouldn’t mind. Can you introduce him to me?

甲：当然可以，你和我一起来。汤姆，这是约翰，我的好友。约翰，这位是汤姆。
A: Sure. Why don’t you come with me? Tom, this is John, one of my best friends. John, this is Tom.

丙：很高兴看到你，约翰。我听过很多有关你的事。
C: It’s nice to meet you, John. I’ve heard a lot about you.

B: All good, I hope. Anyway, I’m glad to finally have a chance to meet you.

丙：我也一样，你从哪儿来？
C: Me too. Where are you from?

乙：我从纽约来，你呢？
B: I’m from New York, and you?

丙：我从科罗拉多州的丹佛市来。
C: I’m from Denver, Colorado.

甲：我们去喝杯咖啡，可以互相更了解一些。
A: Why don’t we go and have a cup of coffee and get to know each other better.
