One of the greatest impediments to the use of hearing aids is individuals feeling self-conscious, and not wanting people to see their hearing aid for fear that they'll think that they're old, or they're infirm, or they have a problem.
What is very, very important to realize is that much more visible than the hearing aid is the hearing loss.
If your friends are saying to you, "Harry did you get my fax?" and you're saying "tax".
People are walking around scratching their heads saying, "What's wrong with Harry?".
If you wear a hearing aid, that is almost always not visible or minimally visible, you are then able to communicate and interact with your peers and you will have a better life, and a much better ability to communicate and enjoy.
