1. pajama party：睡衣派对

2. long johns: （至踝部的）长内衣裤，衬裤。类似于我们说的“秋衣、秋裤”。

3. frat party: 联谊会。也可以指兄弟会。Fraternity是指（有相同职业、爱好或信仰的）群体，同仁；同好。

4. on the trail: 跟踪，寻找。

例如：I'm afraid we are on the trail of someone.（我觉得有人在跟踪我们。）

5.one-night stand: 一夜情，露水姻缘。

“One-night stand”原来指巡回演出中在某地逗留“一夜的演出”，“stand”本意指“停留演出”。随着社会的发展，现常在俚语中用“one-night stand”比喻一夜之“欢”。可以缩写为ONS。

6. sophomore: 大学或高中二年级。

7. straight: 直男。Heterosexual，异性恋的，反之则为gay（homosexual，同性恋的）

8. kettle corn: Popcorn that is sweetened with sugar during cooking（手工爆米花）

9. Peach Pit: 后文提到的美剧《90210》中的一处餐馆，朋友常在此聚会。

10.residency: 住院医。

11.hang out：出外玩儿，闲逛。let it all hang out则是指“宣泄情感”

例如：On holidays, we like to go to the forest cabin and let it all hang out.（在假日，我们喜欢去森林小木屋完全放轻松。）
