J: That sounds good. My wife is going to buy a pearl necklace.
S: OK. what about this one? It is made of 64 pearls that are absolutely identical in size and color.
J: How much does it cost?
S: The tag price is 880 yuan, but we're offering a 20% discount today. It's really a bargain.
J: How do I know the pearl is genuine?

1.find 词尾的/d/不发音。
2.flower“花”与flour“面粉”发音相同，都读作/'flaʊə/。
3.be indentical in sth.意思是“在某方面相同、一样”。
4.同化现象。this 的尾字母音/s/遇到shop的首字母音/ʃ/被同化为/ʃ/，两个/ʃ/相遇只读一个。

I'm trying to find some presents for my wife 一句中的find some似乎是/faɪn səm/而不是/faɪnd səm/。这是因为，如果单词以
辅音/t/或/d/结尾，后一个词又以辅音开头，那么该词词尾的/t/或/d/就会失去爆破。比如：
next month /neks'mʌnθ/下个月
good night /ɡʊ'naɪt/晚安
但当后一个词的词首为/w/，/j/，/h/，/r/时，/t/和/d/则不失去爆破。如：
next year /neks'jə:/明年
solid wall/sɒlɪd wɔ:l/坚固的城墙
