1  50/50 :

Can you join us for dinner tonight?

“你今晚能参加我们的晚宴吗? ”

There is a 50/50 chance, I might be busy.

“去的概率是一半一半，我可能因为忙而去不了。”

 

2  It could go either way :

"Do you think our soccer team will win the match?"

“你认为我们的足球队会赢了这场比赛吗?”

"It could go either way."

“两种情况都有可能。”

 

3  It could happen :

"Will my son Bobby get an A in your class?"

“我儿子鲍比会在你的班级得A吗?”

"If he studies hard, it could happen."

“如果他刻苦学习的话，他会的。”

 

4  I am not sure :

"Will you have time to meet me for dancing on Friday evening?"

“星期五晚上你有时间与我见面跳舞吗?”

"At this time I am not sure."

现在我还不能肯定。”

 

5  Maybe yes, maybe no :

"Will you stamp my visa into your lovely country?"

“你会给我签署到你那可爱的国家的签证吗?”

"Maybe yes, maybe no!"

 “可能会，也可能不会。”

 

6  Time will tell :

"Is her speech disorder permanent?"

“她是患了永久性的口吃吗?”

"Time will tell."

“时间会告诉我们。”
