聊一聊毕加索的一生，他所创作的画作有什么含义

来听今天的讲解:

A:Jules, just look at this amazing painting.

朱尔斯，过来看看这幅画，真令人叫绝。

B: It is amazing, but what is it exatly?

真的太让人惊讶了，不过这究竟画的是什么？

A: It's a Picasso! The style you are looking at is called "Cubism", it does look kind of strange, I must admit.

是毕加索的画！你看到的这种风格叫立体派，我得承认确实看起来有点古怪。

B: Yes, strange but beautiful. What's it called?

是的，有点怪但很漂亮。这幅画叫什么名字？

A: Let me see .... this one is Les Demoiselles de Avignon, painted in 1907.

我看看……叫：《亚威农的少女》，画于1907年。

B: 1907? That's one hundred years ago, but his work looks so modem!

1907年？那是l00年前了，可是他的作品看起来那么现代！

A: Well. he was born in 1881 , so I guess all of his pieces are old.  Did you know he created over 20, 000 paintings, prints, drawings, sculptures, ceramics, theatre sets and costumes?

的确是。毕加索生于1881年，所以我想他所有的作品都是年代很久远的口他创作了20，000多幅油画，还有版画、素描、雕刻、陶艺．舞台设计和服装，你知道这些吗？

B: He muse have lived to be a very old man to do all of that during his life.

他一定是毕生都在创作，而且很长寿。

A: He died when he was 92, so he had a long life, yes.

他去世时是92岁，寿命是很长。

B: I heard he was a bit of a womaniser, he had many girlfriends, who he often painted and had many children.

我听说他很风流，有很多女朋友，经常为她们作画，还有很多孩子。

A: Yes, that's true. But I chink he only married twice. His true love was a lady called Jacqueline, who he married in 1961 By then he was already 79 years old!

是的，确实如此。但是我认为他只结过两次婚。他真正爱的是一个叫杰奎琳的女子。他们在1961年结婚，那时他已经79岁了。

B: Oh, yes, I have heard of her, he painted something for her.  I remember reading that in a magazine.

哦，没错。我听说过她。他为她画过一些画。我记得在一本杂志上读过相关报道。

A: In the painting he was a faun. calmly and coolly gazing with mature confidence and wisdom at a nymph who blows her instrument to the stars.

在这幅画中他是半人半羊状的农牧神，带着成熟的自信和智慧，平静、沉着地凝视着宁芙女神，她正对着星星吹奏乐器。

B: So, the picture embraces his spellbound love for Jacqueline. How romantic !

A: That one was called Faun and Starry Night, he painted it in 1955 before they got married. Look, it's here in the book.

这幅画叫做《农牧神和星夜》，是1955年在他们结婚前画的。看，就在这本书里。

B: Yes, that’s the one! I know that one, but what’s this one? It says it was painted in 1929.

是的，就是这个，我知道这画。那这幅是什么？土面说画于1929年。

A: This one is called Nude Standing by the Sea, this one is very strange！

这幅画叫《在海滨的女人》，非常与众不同！

B: Look at her body, all the shapes are wrong, It is very striking though.

看，她的身体曲线全画错了。不过很引入注意。

A: This is called " Surrealist Imagery" , where he distorted figures and morphed them together. He started it during the 1920s.

这叫做超现实主义肖像，他扭曲了人的外形，然后再把它们组合在一起。他是从20世纪20年代开始创作这种作品的。

B: Well, it may be strange, but I like it. I think that Picasso must have been a real genius.

也许是有点怪，不过我喜欢这种作品。我认为毕加索一定是个真正的天才。
