大家可能注意到了，这首歌中用到很多次Blue.
在中文里，这只是个颜色词，但在英语里，
这个词有更多的含义。
首先，它指颜色，蓝色；
其次，表示一种音乐，称为(美国黑人)布鲁斯歌曲的，
布鲁斯乐曲风格的音乐；
最后还有心情忧郁的意思。
当作动词时还表示“把...弄蓝”等意思。

 

      Timbaland中译名“提姆巴兰”，原名蒂莫西·莫斯利（Timothy Z. Mosley），美国著名流行音乐制作人，说唱歌手，词曲创作人。是Snoop Dogg、Destiny's Child、Jay-Z、Nelly Furtado、Justin Timberlake、Pussycat Dolls等人争相邀约合作发展的对象，被誉为当今全球流行排行榜冠军制造机。现已有多张高销量唱片，合作专辑，以及众多全球排行冠军曲。格莱美得奖音乐制作人Timbaland崛起于90年代末期，是一个真正意义上的畅销单曲缔造者，来自britishhitsongwriters网站的数据称，若按照制作的歌曲在榜单上的成绩统计，Timbaland是英国流行音乐榜有史以来排名第22位的成功编曲人。很少有嘻哈音乐制作人能像Timbaland一样在商业化和制作水准中找到如此的平衡点，Timbaland合作的艺人几乎是清一色的大牌，诸如Missy Elliott、Aaliyah、Jay-Z、Ginuwine、Ludacris、Snoop Dogg、Nas和Justin Timberlake等，而一些名气稍小的歌手或者新人也通过他的制作取得了音乐生涯中的重大突破，最典型的例子是Petey Pablo、Bubba Sparxxx和Tweet等。 　　

     Timbaland从出道到两千年早期的作品，特别是他自己的说唱专辑里都很少用到取样，这对一个嘻哈音乐制作人来说是很大的挑战。2002-03年开始，由于邀约过多，Timbaland逐渐开始增多了自己采样的频率，到了2006-07年左右，像他为Fabolous制作的“Make Me Better”和为Nelly Furtado制作的“Promiscuous”都成了一段取样加上一个鼓组的简化程序。不过，Timbaland的制作仍是歌手拿到排行榜佳绩的最佳选择之一，与此同时，Timbaland也逐渐开始为嘻哈音乐之外的艺人诸如Bjork、Ashlee Simpson、OneRepublic和Shakira等各类艺人制作歌曲，扩展了自己的业务范围。

关于歌曲《Apologize》的争议与解释
　　不少中国的乐迷们始终搞不清《Apologize》这首歌到底是谁的：Timbaland？还是OneRepublic？很显然一些初次接触这两位（组）艺人的乐迷朋友因此产生了一定的误会.那就在此说明：《Apologize》的原创与演唱是美国摇滚新贵天团OneRepublic的杰作。在这支乐队还是无名小卒时，乐队主唱Ryan Tedder就写成了这首歌，并由其他成员演奏、伴唱等，如成员Brent Kurzle的大提琴演奏。后来经过一番波折，音乐制作“大哥级人物”Timbaland发现了这支天才乐队，于是召至麾下——Mosley Music Group。同时Tim也很喜欢OneRepublic乐队的这首歌曲，于是便精心制作了混音，收录在自己的《Shock Value》大碟中，OneRepublic也因此一炮而红，《Apologize》也就开始了问鼎各国排行榜首的道路。后来OneRepublic作为Mosley Music Group旗下艺人发表了首张专辑《梦不落》（Dreaming Out Loud）特别加入了《Apologize》双版本：乐队制作原版，以及Tim特别混音版（即大家在电台里大多听到的所谓"Timbaland Feat. OneRepublic"的版本）。
