In summer 2019, ‘The Independent Photographer’ organized its monthly contest around the theme ‘Travel’. On this occasion, the renowned American photographer Steve McCurry was a judge of the competition.

2019年夏天，“独立摄影师”组织了以“旅行”为主题的月度比赛。在这次比赛中，美国著名摄影师史蒂夫·麦柯里担任评委。

Steve McCurry has been one of the most iconic voices in contemporary photography for over three decades and has created a unique collection of work featuring some of the most famous images of our time. McCurry’s work spans conflicts, vanishing cultures, ancient traditions and contemporary culture alike – yet always retains the human element that made his celebrated image of the Afghan Girl so powerful.

史蒂夫·麦柯里是30多年来当代摄影界最具标志性的声音之一，他创作了一组独特的作品，收录了我们这个时代最著名的一些图片。麦柯里的作品跨越了冲突、消失的文化、古代传统和当代文化，但始终保留了使他的阿富汗女孩的著名形象如此强大的人性因素。

After receiving and sorting photos from more than 60 different countries, this award aimed to discover images that communicate the life of a place in all its splendor, trigger our memories, and share the photographers’ journey, visually and intellectually.

在接受并整理了来自60多个不同国家的照片后，这个奖项的目的是发现那些传达了一个地方的生活的所有精彩的图片，触发我们的记忆，并在视觉上和智力上分享摄影师的旅程。
