The waists of Victoria’s Secret catwalkers have gotten tinier and tinier over the past two decades, according to a new study.

The lingerie giant’s models’ midsections went down about an inch, from an average of 24.7 inches in 1995 to about 23.6 in 2018, researchers out of the Boston University School of Medicine found.

The average dress size of the stunners was 3.7 last year, while US women generally fit into a size 16, according to the study, “Unattainable Standards of Beauty,” published in Aesthetic Surgery Journal.

“Our results represent a potentially changing weight ideal of beauty that is moving farther away from the characteristics of the average American woman,” Vashi said.

Two numbers that stayed put, though, were average height — 5-foot-11 — and the models’ waist-to-hip ratio of 0.7, which is typically 24 inches to 35 inches, the study found.Victoria’s Secret has gotten in hot water for years over what some call their outdated beauty standards.

As the research paper noted, while Victoria’s Secret models got trimmer, the demand for dramatic surgical procedures only grew among Americans.
