02 时间前缀,次序有先后

时间前缀是指原来的单词加上前缀以后产生的新词与原来的单词相比，在时间上发生了变化，或前或后，或表次序。最常用见的有pre-，post-，fore-，ex-等。

①pre-表示的意思与“before”一样，是“预先、之前”的意思。

predict（预测） prehistory（史前）

precaution（预防） precondition（前提）

②post-表示的意思是“之后的，后面的”。

war（战争）——post-war（战后的）

graduate（毕业生）——post-graduate（研究生）

③fore-也表示“预先”的意思。

tell（告诉）——foretell（预言）

see（看见）——foresee（预知）

※“天气预报”用的是weather forecast，forecast就是“预报、预测”的意思。

④ex-表示的意思是“之前的”，一般用在表示职业、身份的名词前。
