去除表示事物的从句

上文我们讲到了修饰人物的从句，其关系代词分别是who, whom, whose和that，这一节我们介绍一下修饰事物的从句，其关系代词分别是which, that, whose和of which。

①The book which (that ) I read was interesting.

②I like the book which (that) is very interesting.

③I want to have a book whose cover is colorful.

④I want to have a book of which the cover is colorful.

由于the book 后面的从句都是定语从句，是用来修饰the book 的，所以可以删去。删去从句以后，以上的句子就变成了：

①The book was interesting.

②I like the book.

③I want to have a book.

④I want to have a book.

第3句和第4句在意思上是一样的。whose可以转换成“of+which”。
