Daniel: Mom, why do you bring Daddy and me to this coffeehouse today? Don't you know that Daddy doesn't drink any coffee?
Shirley: Of course I know that. Look over there!
Daniel: Oh, it's sis. What is she doing here? To be a waitress in a coffeehouse? Are we broke?
Shirley: No, it's not like that. She just wants to improve her oral English. Look around. Almost all the customers here are foreigners.
Daniel: Oh, I know. She is preparing for the 2008 Olympics. She wants to be a good volunteer.
Shirley: Yeah.
Daniel: But I'm not sure whether she is up to the job. We have a good mother who keeps us away from housework.
Shirley: Go over there and look at the notice board. You'll find the answer there.
(Daniel comes back to his seat after seeing the notice board.)
Daniel: Mom, it's really a big surprise. Sis is the best waitress of the month.
Shirley: I knew it. That's why our whole family come here today.
Daniel: I'm so proud of sis. Mom, I want to be the best waiter of the next month.
Shirley: Don't you tell me you want to take a part-time job here? You are too young to do that.
Daniel: Well, I just want to do something, just like sis.
Shirley: I'm thinking about sparing you some housework to do. You reminded me just now.
Daniel: Let's just forget about it. I'd like to congratulate sis now.
Shirley: Maybe later. She is busy with her work. So we'd better not interrupt her.
Daniel: No problem. I can wait. Well, let's drink some coffee.
