Glossary

A crutch (noun) A support to help somebody walk 拐杖

如：He’s hurt his leg and needs a crutch to help him walk

他把自己的腿崴伤了，需要用拐杖才能走路。

An injury (noun) harm that is done to a part of the body 伤痛

如：He has a head injury but I think he’ll be ok

他是头痛，很快就会好的。

To kick (verb) To strike something with the foot 踢

如：He kicked the ball into the net and scored the winning goal

他把球踢进去了，得了关键的一分。

To slip (verb) To slide involuntarily 滑

如：She slipped on the ice and hurt her knee

她在冰上滑倒了，摔伤了她的膝盖。

A tip (noun) A piece of advice 贴士，小建议

如：I know all about banking, let me give you some tips for saving money

我很了解银行业务，我给你一些存钱的建议吧。

To stare (verb) To look at somebody or something in an intense way 瞪着

如：Stop staring at her or she’ll feel uncomfortable

不要瞪着她看，她会不舒服的。
