Date (n.) - A romantic meeting. 约会

如：They made a date to meet soon.

他们约定不久见面。

Contemporary (adj.) - Up-to-date, modern. adj. 同时代的，同时的，现代的

如：He had devoted his whole life to the study of contemporary art.

他把他的一生都献给了当代艺术研究。

She and I were contemporaries at college.

她和我在学院里是同学。

Scruffy (adj.) - Old and used (usually for clothes). adj. 不整齐的，肮脏的，破旧的

如：You can't go to a job interview looking so scruffy!

你求职去面试不能这邋里邋遢的!

Blurred (adj.) - Unclear (usually referring to something you see). adj. 模糊的，含糊的，难辨的

如：I have to have my set fixed. It's get blurred.

His eyes were blurred with tears.

Embarrassed (adj.) - Uncomfortable (referring to a feeling). adj. 尴尬的，局促不安的，拮据的
