Trip to London

Sandra: Hello, Mars. I haven't seen you for ages.

Mars: I've been out of Europe . It's a very exciting trip .

Sandra: Wow, that's the most beautiful season of Europe. Where had you been?

Mars: Any guesses? Foggy city, Royalty, Big Ben....

Sandra: London, right? That's splendid!

Mars: I joined in a travel agency. Our tour leader was very nice and knowledgeable. He was a multilingual guide .

Sandra: It's not that easy to get a knowledgeable local guide . Where have you been there?

Mars: We visited many historical and famous scenery spots, such as the London Eye, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, and Tower Bridge and so on.

Sandra: Tower Bridge, the Victorians built that over100 years ago.

Mars: Yes, it's one of London's most famous landmarks.

Sandra: How about Buckingham Palace? Is it grandiose ?

Mars: As Palaces go, I think that building facing down the mall is neither old nor attractive.

Sandra: Really? I'm a bit disappointed in that building.

Mars: You'd better have a trip to London.

伦敦之旅

桑德拉： 马尔斯你好，好久不见了。

马尔斯： 我刚从欧洲回来。一次令人激动的旅行。

桑德拉： 哇哦，正是好季节呢。你去哪里了？

马尔斯： 你猜猜？雾都，大本钟，皇室…….

桑德拉： 伦敦，对吧？简直太好了！

马尔斯： 我是跟团去的，我们那个导游即博学又平易近人。而且他会多国语言呢。

桑德拉： 能够有个有经验又博学的导游真的很难得。你们都去哪里了？

马尔斯： 我们去了很多名胜古迹，伦敦眼，威斯敏斯特教堂，伦敦桥什么的。

桑德拉： 伦敦桥，就是那座100年前维多利亚时代人建造的伦敦塔桥。

马尔斯： 是呀，已经是伦敦最著名的地标之一了。

桑德拉： 白金汉宫怎么样？很宏伟吧？

马尔斯： 就王宫而言，我想这座面朝林荫道的宫殿既谈不上古老也无吸引人之处。

桑德拉： 真的吗？有点失望啊！

马尔斯： 你最好有机会自己去一趟吧！
