Serena： Most of our customers are foreigners. How many foreign languages can you speak, Pamela?

Pamela： Two. French and Spanish .

Serena： And how well can you speak them?

Pamela： Well, French was my best subject at school. I can read and write it pretty well.

Serena： And how about your Spanish?

Pamela： Well, it's not as good as my French. I can speak it reasonably well, but my written Spanish isn't very good.

Serena： I see. Well, we have a lot of Spanish customers, but you wouldn't need to write any Spanish here.

Pamela： In that case, I'm fit for the position, I think.

Serena： Yes, I think so. Our company begins to expand into Asia. Can you speak Chinese or Korean ?

Pamela： Yes, I can speak Chinese, but not very well.

Serena： Where did you learn it?

Pamela： At school. And I'm still learning it now.

Serena： How long have you been learning it?

Pamela： About three years.

Serena： That's terrific. I hope you can do someday.

Pamela： I'll do my best.
