A:Did you watch TV last nightRose?
A:罗斯，昨晚看电视了吗?
B:Yeah. I saw a science program.It was quite interesting.
B:看了。我收看了一个科学节目，很有意思。
A:What was it about?
A:讲什么来着?
B:Mars. Scientists say there might be water on it.
B:火星。科学家说那上面可能存在水。
A:lf so,we may live there someday.
A:如果这样，说不定我们将来可以在火星上生活呢。
B:I hope so. Did you know the U.S.successfully sent two robotic explorers to Mars last month?
B:但愿如此。你知道上个月美国已成功地向火星发射了两辆机器人探测器了吧。
A:Sure.I heard about this on the TV. On January 3rd ,2004 , Explor-er Spirit landed near the so-called Gusev Crater. And three weeks later,Spirit's win explorer, Opportunity, landed on Meridiani Pla- num named by scientists.

B:Yes. Both have sent back pictures of the planet. And the latter did a better job.
