Tip:很多人都知道refuse to do的用法，以至于认为refuse只能作不及物动词使用，如Why did the patient refuse to take the medicine? (那个病人为什么不肯服药?)其实 refuse也可作及物动词，后面可直接接名词，如It didn't occur to him that she would refuse his invitation.
