腾讯(Tencent)对美国制片公司Skydance Media进行了战略性投资，有报道称这家中国科技集团所持股份接近10%。
Skydance, which has produced a number of sequels for long-running movie franchises including Mission Impossible and Star Trek, announced the new partnership with Tencent and the strategic investment on Thursday evening in Los Angeles. The partnership will allow Tencent to co-finance Skydance films and to market, distribute and merchandise in China.
Skydance为《碟中谍》(Mission Impossible)和《星际迷航》(Star Trek)等长期系列电影制作过几部续集电影。周四晚上，Skydance在洛杉矶宣布，与腾讯建立新合作关系，腾讯将对Skydance进行战略性投资。在合作关系下，腾讯将可以成为Skydance电影的联合融资方，并有权在中国对电影进行营销、分销和周边产品销售。
“The partnership also supports collaboration on other media initiatives, including television, interactive and virtual reality,” Skydance said.

The Wall Street Journal, citing one unidentified source with knowledge of the agreement, reported Tencent’s stake in Skydance was close to 10 per cent and valued the production company, which has a co-financing agreement with Paramount Pictures which was recently extended, at about $1.5bn.
