A new study has found that many of China’s independent travelers - those who do not book trips with travel agencies or groups - are taking to “minsu”- The Chinese term is used for accommodations that range from bed-and-breakfasts to homestays - which offers opportunities to experience local lifestyles.

“小胖儿” or “Little Chubby” is the robot that went on a rampage and injured a visitor at this year’s China Hi-Tech Fair 2016 in Shenzhen. People’s Daily, the newspaper, called it the first case of a robot injury in China.

A 31-year-old man in southwest China’s Chongqing city had a messy divorce. His now ex-wife, surnamed Tan, said her husband and a female colleague were posing too close to each other in a photo. She said it has violated the rule of safe distance between a man and a woman.
