作为一般疑问句否定回答的首选，“No”在我们生活中无处不在。但是每次回答都用“No”未免有些无趣，让我们来看看还有哪些词也能表达否定的意思吧。

　　1. nix： 不可以

　　e.g. I ​suppose ​mom will say nix to us going to the ​movies.

　　我猜妈妈不会同意咱们去看电影。

　　2. uh-uh： 嗯，哼，表示否定回答的象声词(反义词是uh-huh，表肯定的象声词)

　　e.g. "You didn't have time to go to the store?" "Uh-uh, no chance."

　　“你没有时间去商店买东西吗?”

　　"Uh-uh, no chance."

　　“嗯，没有。”

　　3. nope： 不

　　e.g. "Are you going out tonight?"

　　“今晚你要出去吗?”

　　"Nope."

　　“不出去。”

　　4. no way： 绝不

　　e.g. "Go on, lend me your bike."

　　“自行车借我吧，行不行啊。”

　　"No way!"

　　“绝不!”

　　5. negative： 不行，反对

　　e.g. We ​received a negative ​answer to ​our ​request.

　　我们的请求得到了否定的回答。

　　6. not on your Nelly： 绝不可能

　　e.g. "Perhaps you could take Simon to the party."

　　“也许你可以带西蒙去参加聚会。”

　　"Not on your nelly!"

　　“没门儿!”

　　7. fat chance： 不大可能，希望渺茫

　　e.g. "Perhaps they'll invite you."

　　“也许他们会邀请你。”

　　"Fat chance (of that)!"

　　“不太可能!”

　　8. no fear： 当然不

　　e.g. "Are you coming to the concert?"

　　“你会来听音乐会吗?”

　　"No fear!"

　　“当然不!”
