你的聪明像一只鹿，

你的别的许多德性又像一匹羊;

我愿意来同羊温存，

又耽心鹿因此受了虚惊：

故在你面前只得学成如此沉默，

(几乎近于抑郁了的沉默!)

你怎么能知?

You have deer-like agility,

the innocence of a lamb–

I would play with the lamb

yet worry lest the deer take fright;

I have thus learnt to be silent

(almost melancholy!)

so how could you know?
