货比三家

You can get a good buy by shopping around.

货比三家才能买到好东西。

对话

A:The shoes you bought are cheap and in good quality.

你买的鞋质量好又便宜。

B:Yes,I shopped around and then bought them.

是的，我是货比三家之后才买的。

repeat customer

回头客
 

Mr.Smith is the repeat customer of our restaurant.

史密斯先生是我们餐馆的回头客。

对话

A:Can you give me a discount?

能打个折吗?

B:We can provide you a 10% discount,considering that you are our repeat customer.

考虑到你是我们的回头客，我们可以给您打九折。

还可以用frequent customer或frequenter表示回头客

其中frequent的意思是“经常的”

正牌(货)
 

The sweater is authentic.

这件毛衣是正牌货。

对话

A:I think the price is a little high.

我觉得价钱有点高。

B:But it is authentic.

但这是正牌货啊。

fake

冒牌(货)
 

This painting is a fake.

这幅画是冒牌货。

对话

A:The diamond you wear is really beautiful.

你戴的钻石真好看。

B:It is a fake.

它是冒牌货。

“冒牌货”也就是“赝品”，还可以用counterfeit表示

这个单词相对来说较正式一些

brand-name product

名牌商品
 

大家通常都会将“名牌商品”理解为“有名的商品”

所以会错误地认为它的英文表达就是famous goods

而实际上地道表达应该是brand-name product

My colleague Lily likes buying brand-name products.

我的同事莉莉很喜欢买名牌商品。

对话

A:This jacket is too expensive.

这件夹克太贵了。

B:But it is a brand-name product.

但这是名牌啊。

区分：

“名牌商品”是brand-name products

而商品的“品牌”是brand name

注意不要把二者搞混了

regular price

原价
 

I bought a pair of shoes at the regular price.

我花原价买了一双鞋。

对话

A:What is the regular price of this book?

这本书原价多少钱?

B:Thirty yuan.

30元。

如果要表示“固定价格”可以用fixed price

The customer and developer negotiate a fixed price for the project.

客户和开发人员协商项目的固定价格。

secondhand store

二手店
 

“二手店”的英文表达可以直译

“第二个”second，“手”hand，“店”store

就构成了secondhand store

I always go shopping at the secondhand store on weekends.

我周末的时候经常去二手店买东西。

对话

A:This cabinet is beautiful.Where did you buy it?

这个柜子真好看。你在哪儿买的?

B:I bought it at a secondhand store.

我在一家二手店买的。

“商店”的种类除了secondhand store外

还有“百货商店”department store

“零售店”retailer

“专卖店”specialty store等
