① affect是及物动词，表示“影响，(病)侵袭”，暗示产生的影响如此强烈，以致能引起反应。
Smoking affects health. 吸烟影响健康。
The rise in the price has affected all of them. 物价的上涨影响了他们所有的人。
Her words won't affect my decision. 她的话不会影响我的决定。
The disease affected his mind very much. 疾病极大地损害了他的大脑。
② affect也可以表示“使……感动”，指人，表示思想感情受外界事物的影响而“感动”，这种“感动”所引发的是伤感、热爱、愤怒、怜悯等情绪。
