① attend为及物动词，意为“出席，参加”。

Will you attend the meeting tomorrow？你明天参加会议吗？

They will go and attend a lecture. 他们将去听演讲。

提示

可以说 attend church（上教堂），attend school（上学），但“参加音乐会”要说go to a concert，不可用attend。

② attend to表示“注意，听；处理”，后跟名词。

He attended carefully to what the teacher was saying. 他注意听老师讲课。

I'll attend to that problem tomorrow. 明天我将处理那个问题。
