◎ do nothing but do这个句型表示“除了……不做别的”或“别无选择，只能”。本结构中的do前不可加to。

He did nothing but lie in bed watching TV. 他只是躺在床上看电视。

We could do nothing but wait and see. 我们别无他法，只能等着瞧。

Peter could do nothing but admit to his mother that he took the money. 彼得只得向母亲承认他拿了钱。
