① immediately指中间没有明显可察的时间间隔。

② instantly恰在此刻，一秒钟也没有耽搁。

③ presently不久，即将。

I will do the dishes presently，but I want to finish（reading）the story first. 我马上就洗盘子，不过我得先把这个故事读完。

④ immediately还可用作连词，意思上相当于as soon as，the moment。
