系动词除了接形容词、名词、代词及其短语以及某些副词以外，还可接不少表语形式。比如，look、smell、sound、feel、appear、seem等词能接as if/as though表语从句，如：He looked as if he had just stepped out of my book of fairy tales./She felt as if her head were splitting.
