A snail

A snail crossing the road was run over by a turtle. Later at the hospital he regained consciousness and was asked what happened. "It happened so fast I can’t remember," the snail replied.

后来在医院蜗牛恢复了意识，被问起发生了什么事。

“失去意识”用lose consciousness,表达“恢复意识”的动词可以用recover或regain。

3. "It happened so fast I can’t remember," the snail replied.

蜗牛因“发生得大快.我不记得了。”

fast的后面省略了一个that,这个句型已在前面出现多次，即“so...(that)...”(如此······以致于······)。

从人类的角度来看，乌龟的动作是很慢的;但是在蜗牛看来，乌龟就很快。所以有人说：“世界上没有绝对的真理， 只有相对的真理。”
