客人A: Hey, are you the manager? I have a complaint about one of your employees.
嘿，你是经理吗?我要投诉你们这里的一位员工。
经理B: Yes, I'm the manager. Please tell me what happened.
是的，我就是经理。请告诉我发生了什么。
I have a complaint about…
我要投诉…;我对…有意见
这里complaint是complain的名词形式，而complain是动词。
投诉对象可以是个人，也可以是物，或者事。
举个例子：
① The food was good, but I have a compalint about the service. It's too slow.
食物很不错，但是我要投诉一下服务。太慢了。
② I have a complaint about the opening paragraph. I think it's too long and boring.
我对开头一段有意见。我觉得太长太无聊了。
经理询问要投诉谁，客人指出了那个种族歧视的人：
客人A: See that guy over there? He made a racist comment about me. It was very offensive.
看到那边那个人了吗?他对我说了种族歧视的话。非常冒犯人。
经理B: Racist? How so? We take racism here very seriously.
种族歧视?怎么回事?我们这里对种族歧视是非常严肃对待的。
当有人说了关于“种族歧视”的言论，就可以用这个句式表达出来：
Make a racist comment about
对…发表种族歧视的言论
· Make a comment = 发表言论
· Make a racist comment about + 人 = 发表了针对“某人”的种族歧视言论
举两个例子：
① Everyone's mad because the CEO made a racist comment about African Americans.
所有人都很生气，因为CEO对非裔美国人发表了种族主义言论。
② My coworker makes racist comments about Asians all the time and HR does nothing about it.
我的同事总是对亚洲人发表种族歧视的言论，而人力资源部门却什么也没做。
说明对方说了“种族歧视”的话，还是再加一句，说明一下：
It was very offensive.
这非常无礼/非常冒犯人
在口语中的举例：
① The ad made fun of Chinese people. It was very offensive.
这则广告嘲笑中国人。非常冒犯人。
② I saw the movie and it was very offensive. Theyportrayed Americans as very dumb.
